A fret saw is only as good as the blades you use.  I prefer a 12 point skip tooth blade for my fret saw.

A skip toothed blade is similar to a standard toothed blade, except that every other tooth is missing. This makes the space (gullet) between teeth is much wider than standard blades which allows the skip-toothed blade to hold and clear a lot more sawdust allowing the blade to cut faster.and stay cooler than standard blades.

Our blades come in a handy clear plastic storage tube so you have a nice place to keep your blades organized. Each pack includes twelve (12) blades.

Fret saw blades

I’ve been using my father’s old coping saw but found it difficult to get in tight spaces for dovetailing. This saw and accompanying blades from Rob were a game changer. The speed and effort saved was well worth it !!

Break frequently, but a good value

These blades tend to snap relatively easily. I went through 3 blades cutting out the waste of dovetails on a single board. Perhaps, that’s just user error, but I followed Rob’s instructional video to a tee, so I’m not sure. That being said, the cost makes it very easy to replace them.

Great little blades

These have to be the best fret blades I've owned. I've had them for 3 weeks now and still using the 1st blade. I use a lot of hard woods and this blade is standing up to the task.

For materials not more than 1/4 inch thick

It cuts so slow which makes it useless with materials thicker than 1/4 inch.
Cuts clean through wood and nice to have in the shop,

Fret Saw and blades

So much better than a coping saw. Twisting the blade like Rob instructs makes all the difference.
